The VII Summit of Medical Directors of the International Organization of Telethons ( ORITEL) that was held in El Salvador, determined to introduce adjustments aimed at perfectioning the first Continental epidemiological database related to the rehabilitation and the inclusion of children an and adolescents with disabilities.

The Epidemiological database ( SIDRO) consists on a system created by the Oritel Network that gathers all the information that comes from the assistance of children and adolescents with disabilities who are treated in the 145 Telethon Centers, Therapeutic and Support units which are installed in 12 countries: Chile, U.S.A, Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, El Salvador, Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

Every year the Oritel Network attends more than 340.000 people, mostly children and adolescents with disabilities.
