The VII summit of the Medical Directors of the International Organization of Telethons (Oritel) to be held in San Salvador (El Salvador) from 24th to 26th of September, will show the first results of a historic milestone of the organization: the analized flow of data about epidemiology that comes from the assistances of children and adolescents with disabilities that are treated in the more than140 Centers, Institutes, and Support Therapy Units that are installed in 12 countries.
The data that gradually emerges from SIDRO will contribute to evaluate, control and improve the intervention strategies focussed on rehabilitation, habilitation, social inclusion and also to promote research based on new evidence in this field of medicine.
