The International Organization of Telethons (Oritel), which groups twelve countries in the continent and that at present have 145 Centers, Institutes and Support Therapy Units(CIUS) to assist people with disabilities , has elected the new authorities that will conduct the organization during the following years.
The Assembly of Countries, which is the maximum representative organ of the Organization, elected Mr. Martin Fariña who is a member of the Telethon Peru Foundation head of directors, as president,
In this way he will succeed Mr. Mario Kreutzberger, founder and mentor of the ORITEL who has decided to leave the direction of the organization after completing a cycle of continuous advances during the 19 years in which he was president
The new authorities
After appointing Mr.Fariña as president of the Oritel, Dr Orlando Sevilla (Nicaragua) was named as vice-president of the Organization thus substituting Miss Ximena Casarejos (Chile) who will go on being a member of the head of directors.
The head of Directors will be integrated by Miss Ximena Casarejos, Mr. Fernando Landeros (Mexico), Mr. Orlando Sevilla, Mr. Martin Farina, and Mr. Edwin Rivas (El Salvador)
On the other hand, the votes of the countries determined that the Inclusion Medical Board will be integrated by Dr. Milton Gonzalez (Chile) as president, and by Miss Ligia Granillo (El Salvador) and by Mr., Arturo Pichardo (Mexico).
The Ethics Committee will be made up bird. Amilcar Cagnoli,(Uruguay)as presidente , Nilda Morales ( Puerto Rico) and by Emilia Ruiz ( Colombia).
The Marketing and Communication Board will be integrated by Benjamin Diaz (Chile)as president, Luciana Bukouviner (Peru) and by Griselda Rodriguez ( Mexico).
