The Organization of American States (OAS) and the International Organization of Telethons (ORITEL) presented in Washington a program that promotes Inclusive education in all the Americas.

By means of this program both Organizations will realize training courses in order to contribute to the inclusion of people with disabilities. The program consists on the implementing of a respectful education system which takes into consideration the diversity existing in the region. It will begin with the dictating of seminars in nine American countries.

The general Secretary of the OAS, Luis Almagro, expressed:” This initiative seeks to generate inclusive spaces for people with disabilities and it is aligned with our policy of expansion of equal rights. A High Quality inclusive education has the power of transforming the inequality gap that affects the region and thus providing more opportunities of progress

On the other hand. the ORITEL founder, Mr. Mario Kreutzberger’ said:” Thanks to this agreement we will have the opportunity to work together so as to provide more access to a better education to millions of children and adolescents with disabilities that at present do not enjoy full benefit of a right as basic as the access to a good quality inclusive education”.
